Several large fires occurred in Russia in one day

A major fire started on Tuesday in the village of Sosva, in the Sverdlovsk Region. In the evening, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia reported that more than 90 buildings were burning there. Residential buildings were damaged. In the course of the extinguishing and when sorting out the debris, the body of one deceased was found.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted the rapid spread of the fire, which was facilitated by strong wind and a large amount of dry vegetation.
A state of emergency has been introduced on the territory of the municipality. According to one of the versions, the flame spread from the burning sawmill, Interfax reports.
The Sibir.Realii site reported on the fire that began on the afternoon of April 25 in the Trans-Baikal village of Balyaga. The flames engulfed residential buildings, some residents were evacuated. The rescuers received the message about the fire at 4:00 p.m. local time. Judging by the information of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire spread to residential houses from the territory of the abandoned furniture factory “Rassvet”.
The Regional Investigative Committee announced that a criminal case of negligence has been opened in connection with the fire in Balyaga. The department did not specify who exactly they suspect, but stated that they will question the residents of the village and “give a legal assessment of the actions or inaction of officials of local self-government bodies, as well as the administration of the municipal district to ensure fire safety.”
In mid-March, as Sibir.Realii notes, the season of forest fires was announced in Transbaikalia. Since the beginning of the year, 100 hectares of forest land have burned in the region. In 28 municipalities, a “special fire regime” was introduced, and in ten forestry districts of the region – a “fire-hazardous season”.
