She was held captive by a rapist for 14 years

In the Chelyabinsk region, a local resident kept a local resident in his private house for 14 years. At the end of July, the victim managed to escape. According to the victim, the abductor regularly beat and raped her. Later it turned out that he was involved in the murder of another woman, whose remains he buried on his plot. The Investigative Committee initiated criminal cases against the Chelyabinsk man under the articles of murder and kidnapping.

The mass media reveal the name of the victim – Ekaterina – and the abductor: Vladimir. As Ekaterina said, in 2009, at the age of 19, she met Vladimir, who invited her to visit and forbade her to leave, threatening her with a knife. For 14 years, Ekaterina stayed with him, subjected to regular violence. Vladimir’s mother, who did not protest against what was happening, also lived in the house.

In the last days of July 2023, the kidnapper became ill after a long drinking session. His mother released the ambulance, and the victim managed to escape through the open door.

Ekaterina also reported that in 2011, Vladimir brought home another woman, whom he introduced as his wife. A quarrel arose between them, as a result of which Vladimir stabbed her and buried her body. Now the investigators are working on collecting evidence. The suspect is under guard in a medical facility, RBC clarifies.
