Since the beginning of the year, 669 people have been entered into the register of terrorists and extremists

Since the beginning of 2024, 669 people have been added to the register of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring, 17 of them minors. This is reported by “Novaya gazeta Evropa”. This is a record compared to similar periods since at least 2019. In January-March last year, 480 people entered the register, and in 2022 – 378.

Since February 2014, the register has grown fivefold. Now there are 14,294 people in it. All accounts and bank cards of those on the Rosfinmonitoring list are blocked. Among other things, they cannot inherit and issue a power of attorney at a notary.

Now in the list you can find those accused of both the preparation of terrorist attacks and the article on the discrediting of the army.

On March 28, Rosfinmonitoring added four alleged perpetrators of the terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall” to the register of terrorists and extremists. Two days later, the art director and administrator of the Orenburg night club Pose got there, and they complained about the so-called LGBT propaganda. Diana Kamilyanova and Alexander Klymov became accused in the first case in Russia about the creation of a branch of the defunct “International Public Association of LGBT” recognized as extremist.
