Aminchon Islomov, whom the investigation considers one of the accomplices of the attack on the “Crocus City Hall” concert hall near Moscow on March 22, appealed the court’s decision to put him in custody. This is reported by RIA Novosti. In total, eight people were arrested in connection with the terrorist attack, including four suspects directly involved in the attack on Crocus. Islomov was the first to appeal the arrest. It is not yet known when the appeal will be considered.

In addition to Aminchon Islomov, his father Isroil and brother Dilovar were also arrested on suspicion of complicity. All three are citizens of Russia. Dilovar Islomov was the owner of a Renault car, which he sold shortly before the terrorist attack to one of the alleged perpetrators of the attack. At the same time, the documents for the car were not reissued.

All three Islomovs do not admit guilt and claim that they did not know about the impending terrorist attack. The investigation considers otherwise. According to his version, the father and two brothers were part of the criminal group and provided assistance to its other members, and Aminchon Islomov, as it is claimed, was the first to be involved in the preparation of the terrorist attack. As “Kommersant” writes with reference to the investigation, the brothers collected information, accommodated the future performers, and then provided them with transport.

According to the latest data, 143 people became the victims of the attack on “Crocus City Hall”. Law enforcement agencies announced the arrest of all four alleged perpetrators of the terrorist attack, namely Dalerjon Mirzoev, Saidakramy Rachabalizoda, Shamsydin Faridun, and Muhammadsobir Fayzov, natives of Tajikistan. In addition to them and the Islomovs, Alisher Kasimov, who rented an apartment to Shamsidin Fariduna, was also arrested in the case.

It was reported earlier about threats to the lawyers of the arrested, while it was reported that their lawyers were appointed by the state. It is not clear whether Aminchon Islomov wrote a complaint about his arrest on the advice of a lawyer or by himself.

  • The Afghan branch of the recognized terrorist organization “Islamic State” declared its involvement in the terrorist attack. Russian state media RIA “Novosti” the day before came out with the statement that the alleged attackers in “Crocus City Hall” were recruited through the Telegram channel “Voice of Khorasan”, which belongs to the Afghan wing of “Islamic State”. Russian President Vladimir Putin also said that the terrorist attack was carried out by “radical Islamists”. Representatives of the Russian authorities, however, also hint at the so-called Ukrainian trail – which Kiev categorically rejects.
