The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision on the conclusion of an agreement between the State Tax Service and a Polish government institution on the temporary placement of DPS information resources on the territory of Poland.

The relevant decision was made on January 19, 2024, according to the minutes of the Cabinet of Ministers, an extract from which is available to the EP editorial office.

“To agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and the DPS regarding the conclusion of the DPS for the period of martial law in Ukraine with an institution designated by the Government of the Republic of Poland on the provision of services for the temporary placement of state information resources of the DPS in a mobile data processing center located on the territory of the Republic of Poland”, – reads the extract from the minutes of the government meeting.

As the chairman of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danylo Hetmantsev, explained to the EP, we are talking about storing only copies of tax data of Ukrainians on the territory of Poland, and not the complete transfer of DPS bases to the territory of Poland.

“Work on the relevant decision has been going on since the spring of 2022. Then the work stopped somewhat, but now it has been finalized into a final decision,” Hetmantsev explained.

He added that the relevant decision was made for security reasons. On the other hand, it is not related to the state’s intentions to store the data of the conscript register on the territory of one of the NATO countries.

We will remind:

Number of cyber attacks in Ukraine last year grew upcompared to 2022, by 15.9% to 2,543 incidents.

The cause of disruptions in the services of “Naftogaz”, “Ukrzaliznytsia”, “Ukrposhta”, as well as the “Shlyah” system on January 25 became large-scale cyber attack on the Parkovy data center.
