The Telegram messenger marked the channel “The Way Home” and regional chats of mobilized wives with the “fake” tag after the lamentations of pro-government lawyer Ilya Remeslo. “Agency” writes about it.

In the description of the channel, there was a note “Attention: many people complained that this account is pretending to be official.” Remeslo accused “Put Domoi” of stealing the name of the Russian repatriation center of the same name. Vladimir Solovyov, an employee of the Rossiya-1 TV channel, included the channel of mobilized wives in the list of “anti-military resources created by foreign special services.”

The channel wrote that they are already dealing with technical support. “How easy it is to say that 26 thousand people is a fake. We will consider it as a sign of quality.” Overnight, the number of subscribers to the channel increased by two thousand. The channel also called on Solovyov and Remeslo to explain why they are alive, but the husbands and sons of the channel’s subscribers are not. “We are waiting for broadcast on Russia 1. Invite or invite?” – the appeal to Solovyov ends.

Wives of the mobilized are demanding the return of Russian soldiers home after their year of war in Ukraine. They wrote a manifesto and petition against indefinite mobilization, launched a car flash mob and are trying to organize actions. The authorities refuse to coordinate them.

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the mobilization of Russians for war with Ukraine at the end of September 2022. A little more than a month later, he announced that the mobilization was over, but he never signed the decree to that effect. Later, in response to a parliamentary request, the presidential administration confirmed that the decree on mobilization continues to apply.
  • According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 300,000 people were drafted into the war during the announced mobilization.
  • Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. According to the UN, by the end of September 2023, 9,701 civilians were killed and 17,748 were injured as a result of hostilities. These are the latest UN data and they may be incomplete.
