Next month, Telegram channel owners will be able to receive financial rewards for their work. The Telegram advertising platform will officially open to all advertisers in almost a hundred new countries.

This was announced by the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavlo Durov.

“Telegram channels generate 1 trillion views every month. Currently, only 10% of those views are monetized with Telegram Ads, a promotion tool designed with privacy in mind,” he writes.

According to him, in March, the Telegram advertising platform will officially open to all advertisers in almost a hundred new countries. Channel owners in these countries will start receiving 50% of any revenue Telegram receives from displaying ads on their channels.

To ensure fast and safe payments and withdrawal of funds for advertising, Telegram will use exclusively the TON blockchain, Durov noted. Content creators will be able to either cash out their Toncoins or reinvest them in promoting and upgrading their channels.
