On the website of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” – one of the most popular Russian newspapers that supports the Kremlin’s policy – on Saturday after 19:00 Moscow time, texts critical of the Russian authorities about the war in Ukraine, as well as about the oppositionist Alexei held in the colony, were published for a few minutes Bulky. According to the publication, 24-year-old journalist Vladimir Romanenko posted materials that, in particular, contained statements that the Russian army was committing crimes in Ukraine, and that President Vladimir Putin was “bombing the peaceful population.”

Now these posts are no longer available, but copies of one of the pages have been preserved in the archive. The screenshot was also published in the Telegram channel of Navalny’s team, where it is stated that the texts were posted on the newspaper’s website by its supporter.

“The publications didn’t last even ten minutes,” Romanenko told the website “To be continued.” They were deleted by the publishing editor.

According to Romanenko, from the very beginning of the war, he was against it, but he went to work for “Komsomolskaya Pravda” in order to earn money. After the announcement of mobilization, he left Russia, but continued to work remotely. The editor says that he understands that he will be out of work, but “he sees it as atonement.” “My statement is about the fact that in the propaganda there are people who are still resisting,” Romanenko said. He does not talk about himself as a “supporter of Navalny”.
