The account deletion button has been disabled on the “Gosuslugy” portal. Telegram channel “Dvach” drew attention to this, the correspondent of “Mediazony” confirmed this information.
According to “Dvach”, the account deletion button has disappeared on the “Gosuslug” website, and the message “the deletion function is unavailable” appears in the mobile application. The technical support of “Dvacha” reported that now it is possible to delete the account only “through personal contact”.
Earlier on Friday, it became known that as part of the spring conscription campaign, which begins on April 1, military enlistment offices will for the first time start sending summonses in electronic form.
According to the federal law “On military duty and military service”, Russian citizens subject to military service must receive summonses from the military commissariat against a receipt. At the same time, there is no clause in the law that would allow conscripts for military service by e-mail.
Yury Shvytkin, the deputy chairman of the State Duma defense committee, told URA.RU that deleting a profile or the application itself on the Gosuslug portal, in order not to receive a summons in electronic form, would be considered evasion from serving in the army. “Esli came [повестка] through the State Services, must be carried out. Delivery in electronic form is the same as in person,” said Shvytkin.
- On March 30, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed a decree on spring conscription for military service in the Russian army. According to the document, they plan to send 147 thousand people to the army. This is 12.5 thousand more than last year. The call will be held from April 1 to July 15.
