The Astrakhan activist was taken to the hospital shortly after the special reception

Yaroslav Savin, the secretary of the Astrakhan branch of the opposition party PARNAS, was taken by ambulance to the hospital shortly after he left the special reception. The activist was released on Wednesday evening, and on the morning of February 23 he was hospitalized, his wife informed the Kavkaz.Realii project.

For the entire five days of his arrest, Savin was on hunger strike, which could have weakened his body. A sick prisoner was in the cell with him. After being freed, the opposition activist returned home, but felt bad.

“His throat was swollen, it was difficult to breathe. An ambulance took Yaroslav to the Aleksandrovskaya Hospital in Astrakhan. The diagnosis has not yet been made,” said his wife, Maryna Mytaleva.

Last week, it was reported that on February 17, Yaroslav Savyn was detained at his home by employees of the “E” Center. He was taken to the department to be explained, but on the way to the police station he was accused of petty hooliganism – the activist was allegedly using obscene language. For this, the court sentenced him to five days of administrative arrest.

A protocol was also drawn up against Savin under the article on the so-called “discrediting” of the army – the emoticons of the flag of Ukraine in the name of the Telegram channel of the Astrakhan citizen next to his name were considered a violation – the activist was fined 30 thousand rubles, as provided for in the article.
