According to preliminary data, five people were injured on Tuesday in the shelling of the village of Shamino in the Shebekinsky District of the Belgorod Region. This was reported by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. He claims that the shelling was carried out by the Ukrainian military.
“One man has a shrapnel wound to the chest, doctors assess his condition as moderate. Another four have light injuries,” Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier on Tuesday, the governor of the second Russian region bordering Ukraine, Kursk Oblast, reported shelling by the Armed Forces of the Hlushkovsky district. According to Roman Starovoit, two households were damaged in the village of Elizavetovka; there were only four arrivals in this settlement. Also, as noted by Starovoit, a fire occurred on the territory of the agricultural enterprise “Pobeda” as a result of a projectile impact. The fire was later extinguished.
- After the beginning of the full-scale Russian military invasion of the neighboring country, the authorities of the Russian regions bordering Ukraine periodically report shelling from the Armed Forces. Kyiv does not comment on the information.
- In the Belgorod region, the situation has sharply worsened in recent months. The Russian Volunteer Corps and the “Freedom of Russia” Legion, acting on the side of Ukraine, took responsibility for several raids on the territory of this region. The Ukrainian command does not confirm that the specified combat units, consisting of Russian citizens, are directly subordinated to the Armed Forces.
