The British arms production company BAE Systems will open an office in Ukraine to implement joint projects in the production of arms.

On August 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with BAE Systems CEO Charles Woodburn and the company’s management team on the occasion of the opening of an office in Ukraine.
According to the president, the weapons that are currently helping our soldiers defend Ukraine should be produced in Ukraine. These are, in particular, the L119 and M777 artillery systems and the CV90 MBP from the BAE Systems company.
The head of state thanked the head of BAE Systems for keeping his promise to open the company’s office in Ukraine before Independence Day.
“You are an example for other companies to develop their presence in Ukraine and develop weapons production,” Zelenskyi said.
According to the head of BAE Systems Woodburn, the opening of the company’s representative office in Ukraine will help more effectively implement projects to localize the production of weapons of its own samples.
“BAE Systems wants to be a reliable partner of Ukraine in the war for freedom and independence, as well as in the construction of a strong and sustainable technological defense-industrial complex to effectively prevent attempts at aggression in the future,” Woodburn said.
