Enterprises that will purchase electricity imported into Ukraine will not be subject to planned blackouts within the scope of the purchased energy.
About this reported press service of the Ministry of Economy with reference to the words of First Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko during a meeting with representatives of industry associations and enterprises – the largest consumers of electricity.
“Today, the task before us is to create an opportunity for uninterrupted work for our enterprises and to ensure the safety margin of the energy system in the conditions of regular attacks by the terrorist state on energy infrastructure facilities, because the economy needs to work,” she said.
As a result, the mechanism of electricity import from the EU introduced by the government will allow manufacturers to reduce their dependence on scheduled power outages. “Enterprises that will buy imported electricity will be guaranteed are protected from scheduled electricity supply restrictions in the volumes of electricity purchased by them“, Svyridenko explained.
Currently, the available capacity for importing electricity from EU countries, in particular Romania and Slovakia, is 600 MW/h.
