The Chechen State University named after Akhmat Kadyrov, located in Grozny, will purchase equipment for a military training center for 74 million rubles. In particular, the university will install a simulator of small arms and melee weapons and a simulator of an armored personnel carrier. This is reported by Kavkaz.Realii.

According to the tender published on the state procurement website, the supplier must equip a number of classrooms. For example, it is assumed that one of them will house a computer simulator of the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier, “as close as possible to the real situation”.

An office for the training of drone operators and a training complex for radiation, chemical and bacteriological protection are also being prepared. Educational models of Kalashnikov assault rifles, Dragunov sniper rifles, Yarygin and Makarov pistols, RPG-7, software and hardware complex “Military Topography” and multimedia stands for shooting them are supplied separately.

In December, the university announced that a military training center would be opened in it — students are trained in military specialties in parallel with obtaining higher education. A total of 120 such centers are planned to be established on the basis of universities in Russia, the publication said. The openings take place against the background of regular reports about an acute shortage of trained military personnel in the Russian army, including due to large-scale losses in Ukraine.
