At the Moscow State University, the organization “Student Patriotic Association” was created to help the Russian army. As the T-invariant project found out, the founders were Andrey and Maria Trutnev – the daughter and son of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far East Yuri Trutnev.

As the journalists learned, the Telegram channel of the association was created by Andrey Trutnev (call sign “Brother”) himself. Trutnev’s surname can be seen on the uniform issued by the military department of the university. From November 2022, the participants of the movement and Trutnev himself began to hide their faces.

Maria Trutneva (call sign “Myshka”) is responsible for collecting money – her data is indicated on the bank details for transfers. Her photos practically did not appear in the Telegram channel.

Their father, Yuriy Trunev, previously stated that a patriotic movement should be organized in every higher education institution in Russia, in which all students would be involved.

Yuri Trutnev’s children, like the official himself, did not answer journalists’ questions.

  • Yury Trutnev has been working as the presidential plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District since August 31, 2013. Since December 2018, he heads the State Commission on Arctic Development.
  • After the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Trutnev is under personal sanctions of six countries. In January 2023, he personally visited the territory of the occupied Donetsk region.
