The tour of the rock group “Bi-2” in the Turkish city of Kemer was canceled shortly before the date of the concerts. Before that, it was reported that the group’s performance in Dubai was cancelled.

The group’s vocalist Egor Bortnyk (Lyova Bi-2) told about the cancellation of the concerts in Turkey scheduled for April 24-28. The concert in Dubai was planned for February 17 and was canceled, but then the group announced that the rest of the performances as part of the tour would go ahead as planned.

One of the managers of the group stated in response to the question of “New newspaper – Europe” that the performances were canceled “for obvious reasons.” He did not reveal the details. Telegram channel Mash claimed that the reason could be pressure from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that Russian diplomats discussed the cancellation of the concert with the authorities of the UAE.

  • The leader of the rock group “Bi-2” Egor Bortnyk was included by the Ministry of Justice of Russia in the list of so-called foreign agents. The group’s musicians spoke out against Russia’s war in Ukraine and against political repression in Russia itself.
  • At the end of January, the group’s musicians were detained in Thailand, where they gave a concert, without issuing the necessary documents. They spent several days in an immigration prison. The Russian side demanded their deportation to Moscow. At that time, a number of Russian official political figures called for the musicians to be tried for their political statements. Thanks to the intervention of diplomats of other countries, the rockers left for Israel.
