The Council shortened the terms of VAT refund checks

The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 6085 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding electronic identification and electronic trust services. Yaroslav Zheleznyak, first deputy chairman of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, reported this.

According to him, a total of 276 People’s Deputies supported the document.
The Council, in particular, supported the amendments to the Tax Code to reduce the period of VAT refund checks from 60 to 30 days.
The shortening of inspection periods is intended to improve the system of administration of tax invoices.
However, according to Art. 200.11 of the Tax Code, the control body has the right to conduct a documentary check of the taxpayer within 60 calendar days following the deadline for submitting the tax return (or on the day of its actual submission).
Also, the Verkhovna Rada supported the amendments on the exemption from taxation of LED lamps provided by the state for free.
