The court arrested the producer of alcoholic drink “Mister Cider”

A court in Ulyanovsk arrested Samara businessman Anar Huseinov for two months in the case of the death of residents of the Volga region after poisoning with the alcoholic drink “Mister Sidr”. This is reported by the local edition “73 online”.

32-year-old Huseynov, the founder of the company “Andy”, which supplied the drink, is on trial for providing services that do not meet safety requirements. The entrepreneur did not admit his guilt.

The investigator stated during the session that Huseynov had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for the turnover of ethyl alcohol without accompanying documents. According to the investigation, Huseynov purchased alcohol-containing liquids that did not meet safety requirements and began producing the Mister Cider drink. The prosecution is confident that the entrepreneur knew about the danger of the product, but still sent it for sale. It is currently unknown how many kegs were sold.

As “73 online” writes, the witness said that when the police arrived at the production, Huseynov instructed him to destroy the remaining products and labels.

The businessman’s defense stated that Huseynov is cooperating with the investigation and that the supplier of alcohol-containing products from which the cider was made was detained. “The defense side is now constantly in interaction with operatives, I also wanted to explain that it was only thanks to Huseynov that a man who supplied alcohol-containing products to the Samara Region was detained in his place. There is a strong suspicion that this particular product contained methanol,” – said lawyer Vusal Sheydaev.
