The court arrested the shares of Medvedchuk’s wife in the metallurgical giant of Ukraine worth more than 1 billion

According to the materials of the Security Service, the court arrested the corporate rights of Oksana Marchenko, the wife of ex-Nardeput Viktor Medvedchuk, in JSC “Zaporozhsky Zavod Ferrosplavov”. The total value of blocked assets is more than UAH 1 billion. This was reported by the SBU press service.

The court’s decision concerns 13.7% of the company’s shares, which Marchenko controls through four offshore companies.
The Zaporozhye Ferroalloy Plant is a monopoly producer of metallic manganese in Ukraine and is included in the list of the largest metallurgical companies in Europe.
It is noted that the seizure of assets is necessary to prevent their sale or re-registration to dummy persons and in the future will allow them to be transferred to the state, law enforcement officers add.
Previously, the property of Oksana Marchenko was seized for a total amount of more than 6 billion UAH.
