The court fined Telegram for media channels covering the war in Ukraine

The magistrate judge of the judicial precinct No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined the Telegram messenger four million rubles for refusing to remove 32 channels in which Roskomnadzor saw false information about the war in Ukraine. This is reported by Sever.Realii.
The messenger was accused in an administrative article of not removing prohibited information. Independent media channels were included in the list of accounts that the regulator demanded to be deleted:
- regional projects of Radio Liberty: Sibir.Realii, Sever.Realii, Kavkaz.Realii, Krym.Realii, Idel.Realii;
- TV channel “Rain”;
- “Jellyfish”;
- “Voice of America”;
- “7×7 — horizontal Russia”
Also on the list were the channels of the Legion “Freedom of Russia”, “Rospartizan”, “Boevoy organization of anarcho-communists”, “Ostanovy vagony”.
On June 20, according to a similar article, the world court of court district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined the foreign messenger Viber for one million rubles.
