The court in the Krasnodar region granted the request for conditional early release of Zakhary Kalashov, known as Shakro Molodoi. He is called one of the leaders of Russian organized crime and the number one thief in law in Russia.

Kommersant, Lenta.ru and the BRIEF Telegram channel report that the Ust-Labinsk District Court considered Kalashov’s petition behind closed doors on March 13 and granted it, citing the United Press Service of the Regional Courts. The decision has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed in a higher instance. Other details are still unknown.

The day before, the Telegram channel of the Cheka-OGPU, citing a source, stated that on March 16, a trial should be held on the release of Shakro Molodoy from further serving his sentence based on medical evidence. It was confirmed that this would be a “gorgeous gift for him on his birthday” – on March 20 he will be 71 years old. In today’s media reports, however, we are talking about parole, and not about release on medical grounds. At the same time, “Baza” and BRIEF write about the state of health as one of the reasons for the decision on parole.

Zakhary Kalashov was repeatedly called the “boss of bosses” by the media specializing in criminal news in Russian organized crime, or at least a person claiming this role. In 2016, he was detained in Moscow on suspicion of extortion. This was the result of the investigation into the shooting on Moscow’s Rochdelskaya Street, in which two people were killed. The shootout was connected, among other things, with the claims of the contractor Fatima Mysykova, who was patronized by Kalashov, against the owner of the Elements restaurant Zhanna Kim. In 2018, Kalashov was sentenced to 9 years and 10 months in prison. In the indictment, he was called “the leader of the Russian criminal world.” Since February 2019, he has been serving his term in prison No. 2 in the Krasnodar region.
