The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested Mikhail Polyakov, the administrator of the Kremlin Laundry Telegram channel, until September 13. He is suspected of extortion on a large scale. Mediazona reports this with reference to the joint press service of the Moscow courts.
Polyakov was detained on the morning of Friday, July 14, and taken to the main investigative department of the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.
“Mediazona” also informs about the detention of the general director of the production and construction company “Nasledie” Alexander Sanin. The publication does not provide details.
Mass media and Telegram channels call Polyakov a former colonel of the FSB.
“Baza” writes, without citing sources, that Polyakov was detained for posts containing false information about the management of the IT holding “Lanit”. Publications appeared in the Telegram channels “Nezygar” and “Kompromat-GRUPP” several years ago.
According to Baza, Polyakov allegedly demanded 66,000 dollars for the removal of posts and a three-month block for the publication of negative messages about Lanita. As a result, in three years, the management of the holding transferred about 40 million rubles to the administrator of the Kremlin Laundry.
