In Moscow, the court satisfied the claim to protect the honor, dignity and business reputation of billionaire Oleg Deripaska against Olga Romanova, a human rights activist and head of the “Sitting Russia” foundation.

According to the decision of the Tagansky District Court, Romanova on her page in the X social network must refute the words she uttered in an interview that Deripaska owns a number of private military companies.

The interview in question was given by Olga Romanova to journalist Elizaveta Osetynskaya. In it, she stated that two PMCs belonging to Oleg Deripaska operate in the south of Ukraine, calling the billionaire “the main military man” in Russia. Deripaska’s representatives called this information slanderous.

Later, Romanova repeated theses about Deripaska’s PMC in an interview with journalist Kateryna Gordeeva.

  • Earlier, Deripaska won a case for protection of honor and dignity against Maria Pevchykh, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, in a Russian court. The court ruled that the information that Pevchy shared on the Internet about the businessman’s participation in mortgage auctions in the mid-1990s was not true.
