The court seized Marchenko’s share in the Zaporizhzhia ferroalloy plant for more than one billion

According to the materials of the Security Service (SBU), the court seized the assets of Oksana Marchenko, the wife of ex-Nardeput Viktor Medvedchuk, at the Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant worth more than UAH 1 billion.

The court imposed an arrest on the corporate rights of Oksana Marchenko with a value of more than UAH 1 billion. The court’s decision concerns 13.7% of the company’s shares, which Medvedchuk’s wife owns through four offshore companies.
As the SBU reminds, the Zaporizhia Ferroalloy Plant is a monopoly producer of metallic manganese in Ukraine and is included in the list of the largest metallurgical companies in Europe.
Seizure of assets is necessary to prevent their sale or re-registration to false persons, and in the future it will allow to transfer them to the benefit of the state, law enforcement officers add.
Earlier, Marchenko’s property worth more than UAH 6 billion was seized as part of criminal proceedings on suspicion of financing Russian occupation groups.
