The court sent the Tyumen anti-fascist Paklin to a psychiatric hospital

The court in Tyumen ordered compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital for Roman Paklin, who is in a pre-trial detention center on charges of terrorism. Paklin is one of the six defendants in the so-called “Tyumen case”. They themselves call themselves anti-fascists. Paklin will have to stay in the hospital until at least October 29 of this year.

Earlier, Paklin reported that he was being beaten and interrogated in the pre-trial detention center, including with electric shocks, and that his health had deteriorated due to the torture. In particular, he stated that after being tortured with electric current, he began to have pain in his heart and his left arm went numb. In mid-November, the office of the Investigative Committee for the Tyumen region refused to open a criminal case on the fact of torture.

The “Tyumen case” was initiated in August last year, Sibir.Realii clarifies. Six passers-by were detained in Tyumen, Surgut and Yekaterinburg. According to the investigation, they manufactured explosives and planned to overthrow the legitimate government in the region. All six accused claim that the incriminating statements were given under torture during detention and in pretrial detention. In conversations with relatives, they deny guilt.
