There is no deficit in the energy system for the third day in a row due to the increased work of hydroelectric power stations, almost all of Ukraine currently has electricity.
She reported about it press service Ukrenergo.
Electricity consumption is at the level of Monday’s working day and remains substantial. Despite this, there is currently no capacity deficit in the power system: power plants produce enough electricity to cover consumption.
As noted by Ukrenergo, a power unit at one of the power plants was taken out for repair, but this is compensated by the increased work of hydroelectric plants, which have sufficient resources due to hydropower. The import of electricity from Slovakia is also ongoing.
Owing to the absence of a power deficit, consumption limits have not been reached in the regions today, so there are no scheduled power outages either. At the same time, Ukrenergo warns, they are possible in the event of an increase in consumption. Odesa still has minor network restrictions due to damaged infrastructure. Measurements of actual consumption in the regions are carried out according to the schedule.
In addition, energy workers are continuing repair work on a number of power plants damaged as a result of shelling and on all damaged objects of Ukrenergo main networks in order to eliminate network restrictions and transfer the required amount of electricity from generation to consumers.
Currently, more than 10 GW of capacities installed in Ukraine are inaccessible to the Ukrainian energy system and are under the control of the enemy.
We remind you:
Last power outage were applied in the regions of Ukraine on Saturday, February 11, after another mass attack by the Russians. On Sunday and Monday, there will be shortages in the power system as well was not.
