The Council of the European Union approved the proposal and gave the green light for a bilateral decision on joining Ukraine to the EU roaming zone.

Now the final decision must be approved by the Ukraine-EU Association Committee in the trade composition.
Joining Ukraine to the EU roaming zone will allow Ukrainians abroad not to pay additional fees for communication in Europe, and Europeans – in Ukraine.
In addition, Fedorov noted, consumer rights will be protected according to EU rules.
