The ex-wife accused the rector of St. Petersburg State University of beatings

A well-known St. Petersburg lawyer Natalya Shatikhina stated that she was subjected to systematic bullying and beatings by her ex-husband, St. Petersburg State University rector Nikolai Kropachev, reports Sever.Realii.

Numerous episodes of physical violence, which continued since 2005, when Shakhtina was pregnant, she described in her Telegram channel “Conflicts in the Army”.

The posts are accompanied by photographs of the woman’s hands with traces of blood, as well as a video recording, presumably, of the quarrel between Kropacheva and Shatikhina sitting in a car.

Natalya Shatikhina claims that for a long time she did not tell about the violence from the rector of St. Petersburg State University, because she was dependent on Kropachev at work, and he, in turn, convinced her that he could get away with any bullying.

Now Shatikhina no longer works at St. Petersburg State University, and she and Kropachev divorced in 2022. Shatikhina claims that her ex-husband is trying to get property from her through the court that is not jointly acquired in marriage.

As “Rotonda” writes, Kropachev previously listed his ex-wife in the list of ill-wishers when in 2023 he sought to initiate a criminal case due to anonymous death threats on WhatsApp. Shatykhina told “Fontanke” that she has the status of a witness in this case.

Kropachev did not give any comments to the journalists either regarding the accusations made by Shatykhina or in connection with the criminal case of threatening to kill.

• Nikolay Kropachev has been the rector of St. Petersburg State University since 2008, in 2016 he joined the United Russia party. In 2022, he supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and later offered to enroll his participants in his university without exams. Kropachev is under personal sanctions of Ukraine for supporting the war.
• The “Kompromat Group” website claimed that Shatikhina, still being Kropachev’s wife, registered ownership of a house in Spain, as well as several expensive cars.
