The foreign income of companies associated with the alleged founder of PMC Wagner, Evgeny Prigozhin, exceeded 250 million US dollars in the 4 years before Russia’s February invasion of Ukraine. Money is brought by the countries where the PMC works. The Financial Times writes about it.

The PMC is active in Syria, the Central African Republic, Mali, Sudan, Mozambique, Libya and some other countries. In many of them, companies related to the extraction of natural resources work in Prigozhin’s interests.

The newspaper writes that the largest of them is “Euro Polis”, which received concessions for the development of oil and gas fields in Syria. In 2020 alone, the company made a net profit of $90 million, the FT calculated.

An earlier edition of “Proekt” reported that Prigozhin had business interests in at least 39 countries, while political technologists associated with him worked in at least 20 African states.

The United States, the European Union, Great Britain and a number of other countries have imposed sanctions against Prigozhin and Wagner’s PMC. The businessman himself has been declared wanted by Washington, Wagner mercenaries are accused of committing numerous war crimes.
