The ambassadors of the “Group of Seven” named the steps and reforms expected from Ukraine in preparation for the post-war reconstruction of the country and the arrival of Western investments.

About this informs “European truth”.

In a joint Twitter, the G7 ambassadors said that they met with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and talked about further steps after the Conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine.

“Transparency and accountability are crucial in order to involve the private sector in recovery and reconstruction,” the ambassadors emphasized.

They noted that for this, Ukraine is expected to take a number of steps in the anti-corruption sphere, in particular:

  • the timely appointment of a new head of the NAKC,
  • restoration of the system of declaration of assets and financial reporting of political parties,
  • strengthening of anti-corruption institutions, in particular SAP and ARMA,
  • adoption of a law that will ensure a strong and independent Antimonopoly Committee,
  • adoption of a law that will improve the corporate governance of state-owned enterprises in accordance with OECD standards.

The ambassadors noted that they share the opinion on the need to start preparations for the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine for 2024 in Germany.
