The head of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin in the program material in his blog proposed to stop the war in Ukraine, declared its goals achieved. He believes that a long war can become a prerequisite for the disintegration of Russia. The text states that the long war does not find support in the Russian elites, they are called in the article “deep state”. “Many of those who yesterday supported the special operation, today are in doubt, or categorically against what is happening,” writes Prigozhin. “Representatives of the deep state urgently want to return to their normal life, old habits and comfort.”
According to him, the opponents of the war within the elites are sabotaging the decisions taken for the successful continuation of the war. “At meetings, they are silent, they express their doubts. And when decisions are made according to bureaucratic procedures, they inhibit one or another action aimed at victory.”
As Prigozhin writes, the upcoming offensive of the Ukrainian army may end with a breakthrough of the front line (he called the option of a successful development of the Russian attack “to the borders of the DPR, the Dnieper, or Poland” unlikely). “In this case in [российской] the army, which for years considered itself one of the best armies in the world, may begin to feel down at first, and then the situation will deteriorate,” writes the head of the PMC.
