The International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC) was hacked last week. This was reported by the Reuters agency.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that “unusual activity” was detected in the computer network last week. A representative of the organization refused to comment on how large-scale the attack was and whether the danger had been completely eliminated. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also did not comment on who might be behind the attack.

“Immediate measures were taken to respond to this cyber security incident and mitigate its consequences,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

The NOS source stated that a large number of confidential documents were stolen as a result of the attack. The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not confirm this information.

A representative of the organization told the publication that the attack is being investigated in cooperation with the authorities of the Netherlands.

  • On March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Children’s Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. The court statement stated that they are suspected of illegally deporting children from Ukraine. The decision of the International Court of Justice was supported by the USA, most of the EU countries and Ukraine.
