The Krasnoyarsk court fined the Elton bar 450,000 rubles under the administrative article on “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and preferred sex change”. This was reported by the press service of the court to the publication “Prospekt Mira”.

On February 26, “Elton” in Krasnoyarsk announced its closure after a police investigation into the denunciation of the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulyna, as well as a visit by activists of the “Northern Man” movement, who tried to disrupt the work of the establishment.

According to the mass media, on the night of February 23 to 24, a travesty party “Day of the Defender of the Fatherland” was held in the “Elton” bar. In the photo and video from the event, Mizulin was outraged that the men performing on stage were made up and dressed like women. “In Krasnoyarsk, the LGBT bar not only did not close, but also held a provocative party in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day. We will appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia regarding this situation,” Myzulyna wrote.

On the night of February 24 to 25, police officers detained 12 people in the “Elton” bar, checked a total of 19 visitors and bar employees. Explanatory notes were taken from them, but it is not known what specifically.

Mizulyna also initiated an extremism check of the bar of the same name in Novosibirsk. If a criminal case is initiated, the institution’s employees face up to 12 years in prison. After that, Novosibirsk “Elton” announced a name change.

  • After the Russian authorities recognized the non-existent “international LGBT movement” as an extremist organization, as well as after the scandalous “almost naked” party of blogger Anastasia Ivleeva, which caused the outrage of officials, law enforcement agencies began to massively disrupt parties for adults – both private and that were held in specialized clubs. Participants of such parties are detained, arrested or forced to publicly apologize for “immoral behavior”, and clubs are closed.
