Telegram channels “We can explain” and Astra claim that they have established the identities of several Russian servicemen appearing in the video published the day before by the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Svoboda Rossii Legion fighting on the side of Ukraine.

Representatives of the RDC say in the video that Russian soldiers were captured. There are about ten people in the video. Where and under what circumstances it happened is not reported.

According to “We can explain”, with the help of search services on social networks, he was able to identify several people on the video. The channel names them – Roman Khomenyuk, Yuriy Martynov, Aleksey Khamytskyi, Dmitry Ermakov. All four captives are allegedly from the city of Velikie Luka, Pskov region. “Astra” earlier, as it is claimed, was able to confirm the identity of another prisoner – Alexei Belyaev from the city of Kashin, Tver region.

“We can explain” gives the birth years of two prisoners – 1978 and 1979, from which it follows that it is not about conscripts.

The RDK and the Legion “Freedom of Russia” the day before proposed to the governor of the Belgorod region to meet in order to give him the prisoners. Vyacheslav Gladkov agreed to the meeting, but not where the RDK suggested. The meeting did not take place. The RDC fighters said that they would hand over the prisoners to Ukraine for a possible exchange.

On Monday, a video of the capture of two more Russian soldiers appeared in the telegram channels of the volunteer militia.

The day before, the RDK claimed that it was again conducting military operations on the territory of Russia, in particular in Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod Region. It is not reported whether the prisoners were captured there.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia did not comment on the video with the prisoners. The agency confirmed that two sabotage groups from the territory of Ukraine tried to enter Novaya Tavolzhanka the day before, but they were allegedly destroyed by air and artillery strikes, and more than 10 people were killed.

It will be difficult to independently confirm the messages of the parties in the conditions of hostilities.
