Details: The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that on March 23 and April 24, Ukraine allegedly carried out attacks on the base of the Black Sea Fleet in the city of Sevastopol and the civilian infrastructure of Crimea, using humanitarian corridors used for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

The ministry also said that Ukrainian unmanned boats were allegedly launched from the waters of the port of Odesa, designated for the implementation of the “Black Sea initiative”.

Thus, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ukraine allegedly “jeopardized the next extension of the “grain agreement” after May 18 of this year.”

What preceded this:

  • On April 17, the Russian side for the second time blocked the inspections of vessels in the territorial waters of Turkey.
  • The “Big Seven” countries called for the continuation, full implementation and expansion of the critically important agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
  • On the night of April 24, the so-called “Governor of Sevastopol” Mykhailo Razvozhaev reported that the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation was attacked by surface drones.
