The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to reduce the length of stay of foreigners to 90 days

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has completed work on a draft law that will tighten migration legislation. In particular, it proposes to reduce the period of stay of foreigners on the territory of the country without a visa to 90 days a year and oblige them to submit biometric data. This was reported by a representative of the department, Irina Volk.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs offers to create digital profiles of foreigners, as well as a register of employers and foreign workers. It is also planned to issue a single identity document to citizens of foreign states. It must replace all migration documents issued today.

When entering Russia, in addition to submitting biometric data, foreigners must sign a loyalty agreement. In it, they will be warned about the restriction of the right to enter the country if they break the law. According to the draft law, both courts and executive authorities will be able to deport foreign citizens from Russia.
