The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP) are issuing collector coins “Friendship and brotherhood – the greatest wealth” for the Independence Day of Ukraine.

About this it is said in the notification of the National Bank.

Coins will be produced from 999 silver in a total circulation of up to 10,000 pieces.

Two coins of 10 hryvnias and 10 zlotys will be included in one set, and their design forms a composite whole in the shape of a heart.

Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Taran worked on their creation.

The weight of each coin will be 31.1 g. Half of the sets will be sold in Poland, and half – in Ukraine.

As reported by the National Bank of Poland, coins can be purchased in Poland at the cash desks of regional branches of the national bank and in the “Collector” online store. In Ukraine, they will be distributed through official distributor banks and through the NBU online store.

Collector coins will be released on August 24.

This issue is the second joint initiative of the NBU and the NBP.

In particular, the previous joint issue took place in 2012, on the occasion of the final part of the European Championship in Ukraine and Poland, then banks also issued silver collector coins in the form of a set.

The Polish regulator noted that it plans to transfer the proceeds from the sale of sets of collectible coins “Friendship and brotherhood – the greatest wealth” in the form of irrevocable humanitarian financial aid to Ukraine.
