The NBU confirmed the transparency of the ownership structure of Express Insurance Company

The National Bank of Ukraine confirmed the transparency of the ownership structure of Express Insurance Company. This is stated in the corresponding official letter of the NBU, based on the results of the review by the Committee for the Supervision and Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Services Markets dated May 8, 2023, which was received by the Company.

This means that the ownership structure of Express Insurance Company fully meets the requirements of the law — it allows identifying all shareholders and their relationships, and there are no persons connected to the aggressor country among the owners.

In addition, ensuring the transparency of the ownership structure and its compliance with legislative requirements is a necessary condition for obtaining and maintaining an insurer’s license. This is an important criterion of the reliability of the insurance company, which testifies to its honesty and willingness to provide reliable information to its clients and partners.

The National Bank carries out state regulation and supervision on an individual and consolidated basis in the markets of non-banking services over the activities of non-banking financial institutions within the limits defined by the Law of Ukraine “On Financial Services and Regulation of Financial Services Markets” and other laws of Ukraine. The verification of the transparency of the capital of insurers was approved by the Resolution of the NBU dated March 2 No. 15, which will be effective from March 4, 2023.
