The Norwegian football player left Russia, fearing for his safety

Norwegian football player Mathias Normann, who played for Dynamo Moscow on loan from Rostov football club, left Russia, reportedly due to security concerns after drones hit the Moscow-City complex. As stated by the general director of “Dynamo” Pavel Pyvovarov, Normann sent a statement to the clubs “Rostov” and “Dynamo” about the termination of the contract.

There are no comments from the football player himself. The other day, however, the Sports.ru site with a reference to “RB Sport” wrote that the linebacker wants to leave both Russian clubs and has turned to a law firm. As stated in the publication, Normann’s side believes that the current situation is a force majeure circumstance that justifies the unilateral termination of contracts.

“The feeling of fear intensified, because when the player had to return to Moscow, he met a city that had completely changed compared to the one he left before the summer vacation,” Sports.ru quoted a letter from lawyers sent to Russian teams.

At the end of June, Rostov-on-Don became one of the centers of demand for the Wagner PMC rebellion, although it did not lead to fighting in the city. In recent weeks, Moscow has regularly been subjected to drone attacks – presumably Ukrainian ones, although Kyiv has not officially announced that it is organizing these attacks. With an interval of several days, drones hit the same Moscow City tower, causing material damage. Several people were injured, but there were no fatalities.
