The number of victims of the explosion in a residential building in Novosibirsk exceeded 10. According to TASS at 7:30 p.m. Moscow time, 12 people died, including a two-year-old child. 11 victims were hospitalized. Several people, presumably three, remain under the rubble.
On the morning of February 9, a gas explosion reportedly occurred in a five-story panel house, causing one of the four entrances to collapse. A fire started.
Mourning has been announced in the region. Evacuated residents of the house were placed in a school. The whole house, according to the authorities, will later be relocated to one of the new buildings as part of the program for the resettlement of dilapidated housing.

They are accused of providing services that do not correspond to security. According to the investigation, they were engaged in technical maintenance of gas stoves in the house, posing as employees of Mezhregiongaz Service. An explosion occurred due to a gas leak, the department said.
