The owner of the Museum of Dolls on Stary Arbat in Moscow, Mikhail Zaltsman, spoke about the pressure he was under after he closed the museum on the day of Alexei Navalny’s funeral. Salzman told “OVD-Info” about this.

On March 1, an announcement appeared on the door of the museum stating that the museum was closed because “all the management and employees of the museum will be at the funeral.” When Salzman returned, there were unknown people in the museum who refused to leave.

On March 6, the unknowns were still in the museum building – then Salzman began to film them on camera, after which they attacked him. The arriving police detained only the owner of the museum. Salzman spent two days in the police department. As “OVD-Info” writes, it is not known whether a protocol was drawn up for him.

The unknowns who broke into the museum are still there. As a result, the museum was forced to suspend its work.

  • On February 22, Mikhail Saltsman was detained because of a poster with the inscription “The murder of Navalny is a shame for Russia”, which hung in the window of the Museum of Dolls. Together with Salzman, two of his acquaintances who helped him draw the poster were detained. A protocol was drawn up on them under the article on violation of the order of holding rallies.
