The reason for the case of fakes against Rodnyansky was 4 posts on social networks

A criminal case based on an article about fakes about the Russian army was initiated against producer Alexander Rodnyansky because of three posts on Instagram and one on Telegram. This was reported by “Mediazona” from the courtroom in Moscow.

It turned out that the reasons for the case were publications on Rodnyansky’s Instagram about the Russian attack on the maternity hospital in Mariupol, the murders of peaceful Ukrainians by the Russian military and Russian attacks on civilian objects in Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporozhye (the last post was also posted on Rodnyansky’s Telegram channel) .

The criminal case against the producer became known in May 2023, when the court arrested him in absentia, Rodnyansky was also declared wanted. According to Mediazony, the interests of the producer were represented in court by a state attorney. He refused to speak about the accusation and said that he had not even contacted Rodnyansky.

Rodnyansky, who was born in Kiev, regularly speaks out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After the war, he closed all his projects in Russia and left the country. In March 2022, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu personally appealed to the Ministry of Culture with a request to exclude “Zelensky and Rodnyansky from the cultural agenda of Russia”. In October 2022, the Ministry of Justice added Rodnyansky to the list of “foreign agents”.
