At the Northern (Arctic) Federal University in Arkhangelsk, students held a meeting with the participants of the war in Ukraine. At the event called “You need to know a hero by face”, two out of three military men were wearing masks that hide their faces. News about the meeting was published on February 24 in the “Defenders of the Fatherland | Arkhangelsk Region” publication. “Echo” drew attention to the publication.

In the note, only the names of the military are indicated: Dmitry, Viktor and Gennady. It is reported that they told the students “about courage, the importance of special operations and shared personal stories with the youth.” Only one of the participants in the invasion of Ukraine sat with his face open.

Earlier, four members of the “Association of Veterans of Intelligence and Special Forces of the Tomsk Region”, who took part in the war against Ukraine, came to Tomsk for a patriotic talk with students of the Tomsk Pedagogical University. One of them turned out to be a local resident who was tried on charges of causing serious harm to health, robbery by a group of persons and driving while intoxicated.

  • Shortly after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, Russian schools began to send men who had returned from the war en masse. They conduct “Courage Lessons”, tell schoolchildren about “Ukrainian fascists”, show videos from the front and dress children in military equipment. The Russian authorities plan to actively use military personnel for patriotic education and have even launched a special project called “Your Hero”, where demobilized men are taught to work with children.
