Despite the fact that for the past year and a half, no garbage has been disposed of in the occupied Luhansk region, the occupiers plan to build six more landfills there, to which garbage from all over Russia will be transported.

About this reported Artem Lysohor, head of the Luhansk OVA.

“They promise to build six all-Russian landfills in the so-called “LNR” in six years,” he noted.

At the same time, the head of the OVA emphasized that the populated areas of the occupied Luhansk region have been suffering from garbage for the past year and a half, because no one takes it away. The occupiers allocated only 375 million rubles for the development of waste disposal projects.

“Not for liquidation of spontaneous landfills, for now only for projects,” Lysohor stressed.

We remind you:

In August 2023, LOVA reported that the cities of the Luhansk region, occupied in 2022, were drowning in garbage. Garbage from neighborhoods is not taken out for months. Settlements turn into landfills.

As the occupiers explained, the reason is that containers and garbage trucks can be obtained only from a single supplier – the Russian environmental operator. But he still cannot cope with the volume of orders.
