In Moscow, a military court sentenced a 16-year-old teenager to six and a half years in prison in the case of preparing to shoot at a school. The mass media mention only the name of the convicted person – Dmitry K, and the fact that he is a native of the city of Stary Oskol. Officially, he was found guilty of preparing for a terrorist attack, participating in a terrorist organization and undergoing training for terrorist activities.

According to the investigation, in 2021 Dmitry K. became a supporter of the “Columbine” movement and planned an attack on the school. The teacher of the educational institution found out about this and turned to the police.

In June of last year, the Baza Telegram channel reported that a teenager had written to an eleventh-grader friend about plans to shoot and die in a shootout with the police. In the message, Dmitry K. explained that “he does not see the meaning in life because of possible bad exam results, domestic violence and bullying.” Soon they came to the schoolboy with a search, but they did not find a weapon in his house. The detainee himself stated that he wrote “all kinds of nonsense” on the Internet.

The media reported that homemade keychains with the words Columbine, Eric, and Dylan were attached to the weapon. An hour before that, 18-year-old Timur Bekmansurov opened fire on the campus of the Perm State Research University. Six people died. In May 2021, 19-year-old Ilnaz Galyaviev set off an explosion and opened fire in gymnasium No. 175 in Kazan, killing nine people.
