The social network with erotic photos OnlyFans stopped opening in Russia

OnlyFans – a social network with paid access to content, including erotic content – has restricted access from Russian IP addresses. It is still available in other countries. Mediazona drew attention to this.

Onlyfans.com is not listed in the register of prohibited resources of Roskomnadzor.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, OnlyFans deleted the accounts of Russian and Belarusian content authors. The company also blocked their accounts, promising that the funds remaining there would be preserved until they could withdraw them. OnlyFans referred to the sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which they will comply with.

The owner of the social network is Leonid Radvynskyi, a native of Ukraine who emigrated to the USA in early childhood. In March 2022, OnlyFans listed 500 etheriums (about 1.3 million dollars) to the UkraineDAO company, which collects funds for Ukraine. OnlyFans then claimed that this was only part of all her donations to various humanitarian initiatives in support of Ukraine during the war.

• After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Roskomnadzor blocked more than 9,300 sites, including social networks Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
• At the beginning of March, another popular network, TikTok, banned Russian users from uploading new content and live broadcasts in order to avoid being exposed to an article about fakes about the Russian army.
• Russians use VPN to access blocked resources.
