The state budget for the quarter received a record sum for the past ten years from privatization

For the first quarter of 2023, the state budget received UAH 902 million from privatization. This is the best performance indicator of the State Property Fund over the last ten years. This was reported by the press service of the Foundation.

On average, during the first quarter of the last decade, privatization brought UAH 234 million.
“Our goal is honest and transparent privatization with maximum competition at auctions. The result for the first quarter indicates that business is interested in investing in state assets. Therefore, now we are working on the fact that large-scale privatization will soon be resumed,” said the head of the FSG Rustem Umerov.
In the first quarter of 2023, FGI put up for auction logistics, trade, warehouse, alcohol assets, etc. In particular, for the first time it was possible to privatize a sea port in Ukraine. Tenders for the port “Ust-Dunaysk” brought more than UAH 200 million to the budget.
Also, investors were actively interested in alcohol assets. For example, during the auctions for the sale of the Storonybab distillery, its value increased 2.7 times to UAH 142 million. In addition, the privatization of the Bar distillery brought in UAH 21.3 million to the state budget — 4.7 times more than the starting price.
