Binance was used to transfer funds by Russians to circumvent US sanctions.

The Department of National Security of the US Department of Justice is investigating whether Binance or company officials violated sanctions related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the agency notes, citing five people familiar with the matter.

In addition, Binance is negotiating with the Department of Justice to resolve preliminary complaints that the exchange was used to circumvent sanctions against Iran before tough enforcement measures were put in place.
