Israeli citizens no longer need visas to visit the US. The announcement on the introduction of visa-free entry appeared on the website of the State Department on Wednesday. Israel became the 41st country included in the US visa-free entry program.
Israelis with biometric passports will be able to stay in the US for up to 90 consecutive days on tourist and business trips. However, before the flight, they must register in the ESTA electronic system and receive the confirmation necessary for boarding the plane within a maximum of 72 hours.
For its part, the United States expects from Israel unhindered admission to the country of all its citizens, including Palestinian holders of American passports living on the West Bank of the Jordan River and in the Gaza Strip, said the US Chargé d’affaires in Israel, Stephanie Hallett. Now the Israeli security services often refuse to let them through.
Visa-free entry for Israelis to the USA will begin on November 30 of this year.
