Debris, presumably belonging to an unmanned aerial vehicle, was found in Romania near the border town of Braila with Ukraine. This happened on the evening of March 28 after the Russian attack on Ukraine.

The wreckage was found in a field on the Big Island of Braila in the channel of the Danube. The field, where the drone allegedly fell, is located 23 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, according to a press release of the Ministry of Defense of Romania. The text does not say who the drone might belong to or what type it was.

Last year, the wreckage of four drones was discovered on the territory of Romania, the Romanian service of Radio Liberty reminds. One of them was the Russian kamikaze drone “Shakhed”. The rest, presumably, are reconnaissance devices.

Residents of the border areas were forced to evacuate several times due to Russian strikes on the Odesa region. President of Romania Klaus Iohannis declared that Russia’s violation of sovereign airspace is unacceptable.

On the night of March 29, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 99 missiles and drones, the Ukrainian army reported. As a result of the massive strike, energy facilities were damaged in the Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that all the intended targets were hit. Ukrainian — that 84 missiles and drones were shot down.
